Light Asylum

Light Asylum is the synthpop duo from Brooklyn. They are led by local music scenester Funchess who has been a part of the group Tv on the Radio. The duo create a dark electronic punkish atmosphere just without the mosh. One song reminded me of the movie Top Gun Highway to the Dangerzone. A bit less rock and much more demonic and electronic but totally 80′s. The group has a some edge and a cult aspect to them. They sound like they are warning us of a post apocalyptic world through their evil electronic music. But they make you listen to their conspiracy theories with actual good music. So although you can’t tell from my video how good their music is, if you give them a listen you are forewarned of becoming a follower of their doomsday singings. Dark Allies is a good example of their overall work.
