Walk the Moon

When I think of the Midwest I don’t really think much of it. Too much emptiness. Not saying it’s not a nice beautiful area. Far from it. I can appreciate open canyons and such. But I’m talking about in terms of residence. I don’t even know what exists there beside big colleges. That might be ignorant East coast talk. Walk the Moon is band from Cincinnati and they confirm my beliefs. They have this cheesy college pretty boy persona. I felt they were just trying too hard to be cool. It just didn’t look natural. It was making me cringe inside. I know there is a group of out there that falls for these gimmicky bands. The American Eagle poster boys. One member of the group was a true standout though. The exception and I want to point it out. He was very talented playing the keyboard, singing, and creating the beats. He may have some bigger abilities. He may never know carrying the rest of the band on his shoulders. Honestly, he was the only reason I didn’t leave early to make it to my next CMJ show.
